Natalie Walker

Principal Dentist

Natalie graduated from Birmingham University in 2005 and went on to work in dental practices in London and Wolverhampton before joining Dawley in 2007.

Natalie particularly enjoys cosmetic dentistry work including Six Month Smiles ®. Natalie also offers facial rejuvenation treatments and started her Anti-Wrinkle Injection training in 2010 at the Bob Khanna Training institute, Reading. She then completed further courses in Anti-Wrinkle Injections and facial fillers with Midlands Smile Aesthetics Centres 2012/13.

Natalie bought the practice in 2015.

Hugh Tyrrell

Hugh Tyrrell qualified in London, before moving to Shropshire, to work in Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth. He then spent 8 years serving as an Army Dental Officer in places as diverse as Belize, Saudi Arabia and Germany. He moved to Dawley Dental Practice in 1993, and has guided it’s expansion and modernisation over the years.
He specialises in oral surgery, cosmetic dentistry and replacement of missing teeth using implants. For over 15 years he was a trainer on the NHS vocational training scheme mentoring newly qualified dentists in their first year.

Richard Williams

Richard graduated from Birmingham School of Dentistry in 2000. He is a very experienced general dental practitioner who has worked at Dawley Dental Practice since he qualified. Over that period he has been involved in foundation dentist training which helps newly qualified dentists adapt to working in a general dental practice.

Richard enjoys all aspects of dentistry but has a particular interest in placing and restoring implants to give patients their confidence and function back after tooth loss.

Richard completed a 5 day theory course on implants followed by a 10 day placement and restorative course over a period of 6 months. This enabled him to follow the journey of the patients from start to finish.

Outside of dentistry, Richard is married with two children and enjoys playing/watching football, running, golfing and sailing.

Sarah Collins

Sarah graduated from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in 1991. She joined Dawley in 2011 after a 20 year career in the RAF dental branch. She has a special interest in Six Month Smiles® and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.

In Sarah’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her young family and is a member of the Military Wives Choir.

Laura first worked here at Dawley Dental Practice as a dental nurse before deciding to pursue a career in dentistry. Laura graduated from The University of Birmingham in 2015 and went on to complete Foundation Training in Oxfordshire and has recently joined us back here at Dawley.

Laura enjoys all aspects of dentistry, in particular restorative dentistry and is continually developing her skills in aesthetic dentistry.

Outside of dentistry Laura enjoys travelling and socialising with friends.

Leah graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2016 after which she completed her foundation training at a dental practice based within Birmingham.

Leah has recently joined the team here at Dawley Dental and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She is excited to explore her interest in conservative dentistry further by continually developing her skills and challenging herself to provide the very best aesthetic restorations possible.

Leah also offers facial rejuvenation treatments, completing her Anti-Wrinkle Injections qualification with Midlands Smile Aesthetics Centres 2017.

Outside of work, Leah loves sport, playing hockey at Cannock Hockey club and also enjoys socialising and travelling.

Christopher Bradley

Chris is a graduate of Aberdeen Dental School and completed his vocational training year here at Dawley Dental Practice.

Chris is presently undertaking a year of further training at Liverpool Dental Hospital however he is also providing a dental service at Dawley on Saturdays.

Chris enjoys all aspect of general dentistry and has a particular interest in helping anxious patients accept treatment.

Chris is also a veterinary surgeon and when not working as a dentist spends his time treating veterinary dental cases in a nearby veterinary practice.

Outside of work, Chris enjoys travel, cycling and spending time with his partner and their two cats.

Jenny Braim

Dental Hygienist

Jenny qualified as a Dental Hygienist at Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1984 and also has diplomas in Dental Health Education and Dental Radiography. She joined the practice in 1994 and is dedicated to all aspects of Dental Hygiene but especially the care and treatment of nervous patients.

Jenny is married with three grown up children and 2 rescue greyhounds and enjoys teaching yoga and relaxation.

Emily joined the practice in September 2015 as a Dental Hygienist & Therapist. She graduated from the University of Sheffield in July 2015.

Emily strives to make all of her patients as comfortable as possible while providing treatment. It is a passion of Emily’s to work well within our team.

 

In her spare time, Emily enjoys horse riding & cooking.

Gill qualified from Liverpool University Dental Hospital in 2004, since then she has worked in various practices, both private and NHS.

Gill has worked in Liverpool, Reading and has recently relocated to Shropshire.

Gill enjoys putting patients at ease and working with the patient to gain the best oral health for the individual.

Gill is married with a 3 year old and has recently moved into a new house so is enjoying decorating it. She also likes to spend time with family and friends, reading and exercising.

Katie joined the practice in 2011 as a dental nurse and qualified that year. She has additional skills in applying fluoride, giving diet advice, oral health education and advanced impression taking.  She became Practice Manager in July 2016. Katie works on reception alongside Serenah and Meg.

In her spare time she enjoys visiting new places and spending time with her rescue dog Stanley.

Receptionist

Serenah joined the practice in September 2015 as a receptionist, she works alongside Meg & Katie.

Serenah takes pride in welcoming patients to the practice with her friendly manner & strives to help all nervous patients feel at ease.

In her free time, Serenah enjoys socialising, travelling to new places and spending time with her partner.

Meg joined the practice in 2011 and qualified in 2012, she has since gained additional skills in advanced impression taking and fluoride application. She is our infection control lead within the practice. She works alongside Katie and Serenah on reception.

In her spare time, Meg runs a dance group for children. She also enjoys travelling with her husband and spending time with family, friends and her hungarian vizsla puppy Tilly.

Hari joined the practice in 2013 as a trainee dental nurse after she began nursing earlier in the year & qualified February 2015. She enjoys assisting with surgical procedures and helping put nervous patients at ease.

Hari recently got married and is enjoying spending quality time with her husband. She has 2 rescue cats called Hugo & Milo and two guinea pigs called Maisey &  Millie. In her spare time she enjoys going to the cinema and spending time with her friends and family. Hari is also Jenny the Hygienists daughter and thoroughly enjoys working alongside her Mum.

Charity Holloway-Davies

Charity joined the practice in December 2014 as a trainee Dental Nurse & qualified in August 2016. She is a keen learner and is now enrolled on a dental radiography course to further her skills as a Dental Nurse.

Charity has 3 Siamese cats and a Chinese Crested puppy that she adores. In her spare time she enjoys socialising with friends and spending time with her young niece and nephew. Charity loves to cook and especially enjoys trying new foods and recipes.


Jade Stracey

Jade joined the practice in February 2015, she qualified in 2010. She has worked alongside a number of specialists since qualifying.

She has an interest in facial aesthetics & radiography. Jade is fully qualified in taking radiographs.

Jade relocated to Shropshire a few years ago from Essex. She enjoys spending time with her husband & 2 pugs, Henry and Edmund. Alongside spending time with her husband and pugs, Jade is qualified in individual eyelash extensions.

Raine joined the practice in September 2016 as a trainee dental nurse. Raine is enjoying learning all new aspects of dentistry and is close to completing her Dental Nurse qualification.

In her spare time Raine enjoys spending quality time with her family.

Freya joined the practice in July 2017, Freya is enjoying learning all the ins and outs of dental nursing and is enjoying college.

Becky joined the practice in January 2018 as a trainee dental nurse.

She is enjoying all aspects of dental nursing and is progressing well in her dental nursing qualification.

Hayley Potts

Hayley joined the practice in March 2018.

Hayley nurses with Natalie and has an interest in facial aesthetics. She is also a qualified Oral Health educator and takes pride in giving patients the best guidance she possibly can.

In her spare time, Hayley goes to the gym with friends and spends time with her boyfriend and family.


Our Qualified Dental Nurses, Katie, Megan, Hari, Jade, Hayley & Charity have many years of experience, and professional education, and are all registered with the General Dental Council.

 

All of us have to complete considerable amounts of annual ongoing continuing professional development courses to maintain our registration. We are up to date and use our knowledge in our daily professional practice.
